Organization > Objectives of FECMES

Why is it important that the businesses of the social economy are represented in all of the economic fields, socialand political?

Because, although it results in commonplace, the union results in power. With relationships with other types of businesses, those of associated work have the characteristic of the majority of that which the majority should have, at their time, workers themselves. This circumstance generates a series of interests and common problems whose defense and solution demand a systematic action before all of the instances where the decisions made can affect the present and the future.

Because to createstable employment in better proportion than other businesses, to increase and distribute income more effectively, to recycle in a better way the workers and extend a business culture based in the participation, the joint responsibility, and shared risk, the business of the social economy recover a fundamental role in the success of the politics of income and growth, which should be valued as such.

To achieve the recognition and help to these values, and with the spirit to unite forces operating with just one voice in the name of all of the businesses which share the philosophy of social economics in our region, Fecmes has been extending its presence in institutions, entities and initiatives of diverse nature (Social and Economic Advice, Industrial Covenant, Bank of Castilla-La Mancha, Local Covenants for Employment, etc.) and incorporating other organizations of national and European fields such as the European Committee of Production Cooperatives (Cecop), the Business Confederation of Labor Societies (Confesal) or the Spanish Business Confederation of the Social Economy (Cepes), the most represented means of the social economy in Spain.
